2022 Summer Chamber Music Camp
Atlanta Festival Academy is excited to announce our 2022 Chamber Music Camp led by the Vega String Quartet! Below are the details:
- Dates: July 18 to July 30 (off on the weekend of July 23-24)
- Time: 9am to 4pm
- Daily activities will take place at Johns Creek United Methodist Church in North Fulton County
- Chamber Music Free Concert, Thursday, July 28 featuring all Atlanta Festival Academy participants
- Finale Concert on Saturday, July 30 featured soloist Kevin Zhu
- Enrollment space for 50 student musicians only
- Open to 10 to 23 year olds
- Instruments: violin, viola, cello, string bass, Woodwind Quintet (oboe, flute , clarinet, bassoon, & French horn), Piano Quintet
- Existing ensembles are welcome!
- Tuition for current William Pu Music Academy students is $1,390 if paid in full by May 15, and $1530 if paid after May 15
- Tuition for non-WPMA local students is $1,530 (a limited number of scholarships are available)
- Tuition for out-of-town students needing hotel (double-occupancy with breakfast) is $3,000
- Lunch not included for health and safety reasons
- Tuition is payable through Zelle at 404-518-8891 or by check payable to Atlanta Festival Academy
Participants will receive:
- Chamber music coachings with the Vega String Quartet and additional faculty
- Private lessons
- Master classes with world-renowned musicians
- Multiple performances
- Chamber Music Free Concert, Thursday, July 28
- Finale concert on Saturday, July 30th at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center
Application Details:
- Application deadline is June 30, 2022
- $100 non-refundable application fee due with application submission
- Audition videos to be uploaded as unlisted videos on YouTube (video details can be found here)
- Notification of acceptance will occur by July 15, 2022
