2024 European Orchestra Camp

Which Instruments? The European Orchestra Camp is open to Orchestral String (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass) and Woodwind (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon) students, age 10* to 23 years old. (*Students under 13 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.)

Dates: July 8 – 17, 2024

Location: Selles-sur-Cher, France

Audition Video Details and Deadline: Applicants must submit a video audition for acceptance to the 2024 European Orchestra Camp by February 29, 2024. Applicants will be notified of acceptance to the Camp by March 15, 2024. 

Applicants must record a solo work that features both lyrical and technical passages OR two solo works, one that is lyrical and one that is technical. Solo work video length should be about 3-5 minutes. Please upload your video(s) to YouTube, title your video(s) with “AFA EOC 2024, YOUR NAME, YOUR INSTRUMENT”, and select Unlisted when you upload it.

Tuition Details: Total participation cost is $4,500 which includes: 

  • Tuition
  • Roundtrip airfare (Atlanta to Paris)
  • Ground transportation* in France
  • Lodging
  • Meals*

*Additional meals, snacks, and transportation for personal excursions are not included with this tuition-travel package.

There is a $100 non-refundable application fee for all applicants. If you are accepted to the Camp, your application fee will be applied to your total participation cost.

If accepted to the 2024 European Orchestra Camp, your application fee will be applied to your participation cost and the remaining $4,400 should be paid in 3 payments according to this schedule:
 
  • $1,500 by March 31, 2024
  • $1,500 by April 30, 2024
  • $1,400 by May 31, 2024
 

Refund Policy:

  • All registrations include a $100 non-refundable registration fee.
  • No refunds will be offered after May 31, 2024.
