Atlanta Festival Virtuosi

The Atlanta Festival VirtuosiWilliam Pu, conductor

The Atlanta Festival Virtuosi offers high-level string players the opportunity to perform fantastic string ensemble repertoire full of lush melodies and vigorous technical passages.

Participation is open to all students in the Metro Atlanta area and beyond, with rehearsals and performances in North Fulton County! Acceptance into the Virtuosi is by audition.

All rehearsals, unless indicated otherwise, take place at William Pu Music Academy for the 2023-2024 season. 

Rehearsals will take place every other Thursday per the schedule below from 5:30-7:30pm.

Audition Information

Auditions for the 2023-2024 season may be scheduled by emailing [email protected]. Below are the audition requirements.


  • Violin: G major scale, 3 octave, separate and slurred bows
  • Viola: C major scale, 3 octave, separate and slurred bows
  • Cello: C major scale, 3 octave, separate and slurred bows
  • Bass: G major scale, 2 octave, separate and slurred bows

Prepared Repertoire

Students should prepare 6-8 minutes of music of their choice, including a technical (fast) excerpt and a lyrical (slow) excerpt. Sight-reading will also be included during the audition.




The non-refundable annual tuition for the AFV is $750.00 is due by August 24, 2023.
